After a student selects Accelerated Reader on the Home page, he or she can take Reading Practice, Vocabulary Practice, Literacy Skills, and Other Reading Quizzes. To see a video demonstration of how students take a quiz, click here. Students should take quizzes within 24 hours of finishing a book.
With Accelerated Reader, students read widely to build word recognition and language comprehension skills. Reading quizzes monitor overall comprehension, while literacy skills and vocabulary quizzes connect to skill-based classroom instruction.

Take the Reading Practice Quiz first. You can only take Reading Practice Quizzes, Vocabulary Practice Quizzes, and Other Reading Quizzes once. You can take Literacy Skills Quizzes more than once; the window will show you how many tries you have left.
There are five steps to getting started with Accelerated Reader: Get your classroom ready for reading practice. Introduce Accelerated Reader to students. Determine your students' reading levels. Personalize reading practice for each student.
Go to your Renaissance Place and select. Accelerated Reader, type in the book’s quiz number and click Search. You can fi nd the quiz number on the AR label. Select how you read this book. Click Start Quiz.
