How to apply for or renew Apple Health (Medicaid) coverage. Apply for or renew your Apple Health coverage online through Washington Healthplanfinder if you are: An adult age 19 to 64 years old. Applying for children. A parent or caretaker applying with children. Pregnant or applying for someone who is pregnant.
The Health Care Authority (HCA) administers most Washington Apple Health programs. (The Department of Social and Health Services administers the Supplemental Security Income (SSI), SSI-related, State-funded Medical Care Services (MCS), and Medicare Savings programs.)
Apple Health LTSS is a government health insurance program that pays for long-term services and supports for people who have very limited income and resources. If you are eligible, Apple Health LTSS pays for services in your own home, a community residential care facility (Adult Family Home or Assisted Living Facility) or nursing facility.
Apple Health for Kids coverage is free to children in households with income at or below 210 percent of the FPL and available for a monthly premium to children in households with income at or below 312 percent of the FPL.
Most families approved for Washington Apple Health for Kids with Premiums will be required to pay a monthly premium. This program is also called Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Once approved, you can use your coverage the following day.
