Regular Decision - Deadline is Jan. 6, 2025. More than 90 percent of our applicants choose the Regular Decision option. Regular decision applications must be submitted by the January 6 RD deadline; notice of our admission decision will be sent by late March. If admitted, you must reply to our offer by May 1, 2025.
Applying for Financial Aid at Amherst. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the ONLY form used to determine eligibility for the more than $6 million federal dollars administered each year by Amherst College.
For first-year admission, our Early Decision application deadline is November 1; our Regular Decision deadline is January 1. For transfer admission, our application deadline for spring semester enrollment is November 1; for fall semester transfer enrollment, the deadline is March 1.

Financial aid applications for the 2019-20 academic year are now available and are due March 1, 2019. We encourage you to share this renewal information with anyone assisting you in completing your application. Renewal financial aid applications completed after June 1, 2019 are subject to late fees.
Financial Aid Guidelines for International Students. Amherst College follows a need-blind admission policy for all students — domestic and international. This means Amherst will admit international students without regard to their level of financial need or request for financial aid.
