12 paź 2012 · Malicious ADP spam runs have been around for quite some time now and judging by the comments made by some of our readers, they’re not about to disappear any time soon.
In order for organizations to take advantage of ADP’s DMARC record, they must implement specific anti-spam or anti-phishing products that support this framework. This is usually in the form of software or hardware email gateways and/or vendor supplied cloud-based services.
This is an issue because we use Gsuite and have DKIM/SPF setup so these emails are all considered to be spoofing our domain and get quarantined. After a few weeks of back and forth with our ADP account manager we found out we could just use noreply@adp.com for some of these emails, but not all.
The scammer is hoping for you to reply or phone the listed number, or to “log in” via their links. Report as suspected phishing to your IT department, inform HR that you didn’t make changes to direct deposit, and consider phoning ADP via a phone number from their website (NOT this email).
