When I push the F6 and F7 button - the ones to adjust brightness - the "window with the bar" opens but the brightness level only changes from a one up or down on the bar, and it doesn't even change the actual brightness of the screen.
11 mar 2024 · Windows 11 (and Windows 10 too) has an auto-brightness setting, supposed to set the screen brightness to appropriate levels based on the time of day and external luminosity. This normally disables the manual brightness adjustment, making it seem like the setting is broken.
To find the brightness slider in earlier versions of Windows 10, select Settings > System > Display, and then move the Change brightness slider to adjust the brightness. If you don't have a desktop PC and the slider doesn't appear or work, try updating the display driver.
9 lis 2022 · My laptop does not change the brightness of the screen. The slider itself is present, but nothing happens by dragging it. The Fn brightness keys have the same effect: visually the slider appears, as if the brightness has changed, but nothing actually happens.
