The Suzuki GT550 is a three cylinder, two-stroke, air-cooled 1970s-era motorcycle in Suzuki's "Grand Touring" GT series. Three Grand Touring models including the GT380 and GT750 and were originally offered for sale with the beginning of the 1972 model year (MY) with the 550 called "Indy" for the North American market. [ 4 ]
Suzuki's greatest achievement in producing the 550 was to succeed in complete understatement. Inevitably it was compared with the early Kawasaki 500 triples, whose bowel-loosening performance left a legend which has tended to rub off on all air-cooled strokcr threes.

In October 1975, the domestic version of the GT550 underwent a minor change and became the B4 type. The only change to B4 is the coloring. Colors available: Candy Turquoise (Hawaii Green), Candy Orange No.2, Gloss Black
