23 mar 2015 · 1967 SS & Z/28 Models. The SS trim Camaros were available with a 350-cubic inch V8 (L48) rated at 295 horsepower due in large part to the 750 cfm Quadrajet carburetor supplied with the engine. By 1969, this combination was used in almost every Chevrolet car line.
Options. The debut Camaro's standard drivetrain was a Chevrolet Turbo-Thrift 230 cu in (3.8 L) straight-6 engine rated at 140 hp (104 kW) at 4400 rpm and 220 lb⋅ft (298 N⋅m) of torque at 1600 rpm, [9] coupled to a 3-speed manual transmission.
The 1967 Camaro SS came standard with a 350ci V8 that produced 295hp or optionally a 396ci big block V8 that produced 325hp or 375hp depending on the version chosen. Appearance upgrades included “SS” emblems, simulated hood air intakes on the hood, and a bumblebee stripe on the front of the car.

The 1967 Camaro RS could be ordered with any engine up to 350-cubic inches in displacement. But the RS/SS came only as the 295-horsepower 350 that wielded 380 foot-pounds, the twisting force generated inside the engine for quick acceleration from a dead stop.
