  3. 22 gru 2014 · You will need to remove your flywheel and send it to Briggs and Stratton to be "RE-POLARIZED". They will do it for FREE and send it back to you. I had 2 done and both engine run great now.

  5. 9 lut 2022 · The 531cc 16hp cast iron single cylinder engine that you have is arguably the last decent engine that Briggs & Stratton made. In my experience the valve stem does not wear as fast as the valve guide. What does the diameter of your valve stems measure out as on a micrometer.

  6. 30 gru 2018 · I'll try to find a briggs replacement for you , There is a Briggs engine that will fit your application.... Put a magnet inside the cylinder.... If it sticks then you have a cast iron sleeve pressed into the aluminum block ...........

  7. 23 gru 2012 · I read somewhere that the 14HP & 16HP Vanguard V-Twins were identical power plants with the exception of the carburetor. (had to read 3 times due to disbelief) If that is true, what part of the carburetor is different and are they interchangeable? If so, why would Briggs market essentially the same engine with different ratings?
