16 lis 2005 · It was a Winchester, 14 ga. The barrel is a fiberglass covered steel barrel. Had to be the two 59's that were made, and it was only the two of those that were made, there were some 14 ga. guns made and imported a few years ago-----there was a big writeup in the Sporting Clay mag about it, might have been ShotgunSports.
31 mar 2012 · The No. 0, 14 gauge L.C. Smith double gun SN 3643 was made in 1899 and shipped to the Simmons Hardware Company in St Louis, executive, SW Read took delivery of the gun. Nobody knows if the gun still exist today, or what condition the gun might be in. The owner is not talking.

I have the 24 gauge and picked up a set of 32 gauge barrels that I need to get fitted to the frame. Ballistic Products has 32 gauge ammo in stock as well as hulls and wads.

23 lis 2022 · 1683 posts · Joined 2015. #6 · Nov 24, 2022. The Martini Police Gun cartridge was 12 gauge necked to 14 gauge. To convert it to 12 bore it would have to be rebored and then rechambered. The prongs that required a recess in the cartridge case head must be ground off. I had one that was converted to 12 gauge, in this fashion.
22 mar 2022 · Yes, the barrels are Twist. loss: 14 X 2240 = 31,360 psi. Under the 1896 Rule of Proof black powder proof was about 11,000 psi. The gun should not be used with ANY load until it has been evaluated by a gunsmith with the interest, equipment (bore scope and wall thickness gauge) and expertise to properly do so.
16 wrz 2010 · 1910 - 1924 - Bore in mm is over muzzle dimension. Prior to 1924 the gauge would be indicated within a diamond. Post-1924 - A 12-70 in an Omega lying is the gauge and chamber length in mm., and would indicate the gun is chambered for 12ga 70mm - 2 3/4" length shells. 24 kwi 2013 · For no matter what reason, a 14-70 ga. 1920´s BLE came to my hands some weeks ago. The gun is amongst the strongest A&D actions that can be found, and to wich a latter (1940´s) set of 12 ga. barrels were built for it. The 14 gauge´s barrel, it is brand new and unused, I would say.

23 paź 2023 · Most 28 gauge factory loads are 3/4 Oz. And most are 1,200 to 1,330 FPS. To reduce recoil, reduce shot to 5/8 Oz. and reduce velocity to 1,150 FPS. The key when doing this will be to maintain adequate stack height for a decent crimp. The BPI 'Original Sporting Wad' is designed for 5/8 Oz. loads in 28 Gauge while maintaining adequate stack height.
