10 gru 2010 · I have an older Zune (30GB), and my Zune battery does not hold a charge very long any more. How do I get the battery replaced? What is the cost to do so?
What you need. Tools. Flathead 3/32" or 2.5 mm Screwdriver $5.49. Step 1 Back Case. Remove the plastic screw cover located on the bottom of the device. Insert a small flat-headed screwdriver into one side of the cover and gently ease it out. Repeat on the other side. Be gentle when removing the screw cover as it is brittle and will break if forced.

I don't need to buy a new one because it can still charge and still play while charging so I don't need a replacement but its more inconvenient with the draining battery. Edit - I don't want to send it to Microsoft either as that would be pricey and would take a while even if they would do it for an older model.
6 gru 2014 · You need a replacement battery. The Zune batteries arent good for long. Try and find one online, and watch a video on how to install it. - Microsoft Zune 30 GB.
I'm going to revive my OG 30GB Zune to something useful. I got the firmware update ready to go. Super excited. I was going to use Rapid Repair but after finding some how to videos here, I'm going to save a little doing it my self.
