I bit the bullet and ordered a replacement battery from RapidRepair ($24.99). I chose overnight shipping since it was only one dollar more than standard shipping (huh?), and the battery arrived right on time. Tonight, I did the surgery. To take the Zune apart, you first need to remove the small plastic cover on the top of the device.
I'm pretty sure this is just the battery, and if so, is there someone on here who does battery replacement? I'm also wondering what the price for an SSD upgrade would be for anyone willing to take both of these on.
I've ordered 2 80gb batteries and they've both arrive with the tape falling off of all 4 leads. Voltage was still good but I'd assume they're less than perfect now.
