It looks as though the 'Zona taxi's' are the most reliable method of getting from airport to hotel in central Budapest. Just a couple of questions though: - - Do you need to book these Zona taxi's in advance online at home? Or can you sort it out once you get there? - Are Zona taxi's available in reverse, i.e. from hotel back to airport?
11 maj 2022 · A taxi will most often arrive within 5 minutes, no matter where you are in Budapest. Moreover, if you call a taxi, you get better tariffs than if you wave one down. If you really want to wave one down, pay attention to what we described in tip 1.
Hotel Hungaria City Center has excellent public transport connections (metro station nearby, bus stop just at the entrance) ensuring easy access to the most important parts of the city and the countryside.
I'm travelling tot Budapest next week with a friend and we're currently looking into the travel options from the airport to the city. I've read a lot of reviews on the zona taxi, but what I can't figure out is what the exact zones are (the map on their site is just so small..).

There is a taxi stand outside arrivals. You can also take the local bus to Budapest city centre. It takes about one hour with a transfer. The buses stop outside arrivals terminal.
