The flag of Yugoslavia was the official flag of the Yugoslav state from 1918 to 1992. The flag's design and symbolism are derived from the Pan-Slavic movement, which ultimately led to the unification of the South Slavs and the creation of a united south-Slavic state in 1918.

It chose a tricolour of blue-white-red as its national flag, first hoisted on October 31, 1918. Yugoslavia disappeared during World War II, but it was resurrected as a communist country in 1945. Under the leadership of Josip Broz Tito, a yellow-bordered red star was added to the centre of the flag.

2 gru 2020 · rememberingyugoslavia. This year's Days of AVNOJ event, celebrating the birthday of socialist Yugoslavia in 1943 in Jajce, Bosnia and Herzegovina, has been canceled due to the pandemic. Only a small commemoration attended by 30 people is held at the Museum of the Second Session of AVNOJ.
