Bamboo poles are all hollow and should not be confused with Rattan, which is solid and more flexible. Our standard Yellow Bamboo ranges in size from 1/4" to 1 1/2" diameter. Color varies greatly from batch to batch.

Create both large and small holes with a single bit using a step drill bit. These bits work with power drills and grind wood or other materials from the center outwards. The deeper you drill, the larger the hole gets. If you need the hole to be an exact size, a traditional drill bit will work better.
These bamboo poles are dried to give it's their tan color, containing nodes about 8-12 in. apart that can be removed to hollow the pole. Highlights Pest resistant
Step drill bits each create perfectly round holes in a range of sizes without requiring multiple bits to be swapped out in the drill. These bits can also be used to enlarge and debur existing holes. Step drills are suitable for drilling thin materials up to 1/8" thick.
