6 lip 2017 · Although not without its quirks, depending on how you want to use it, the Yaesu FT-891 is actually a very impressive small desktop rig for those with limited space. It can also function as a strong portable option, provided you bring enough battery, and maybe a voltage meter.
15 lis 2021 · The Yaesu manual actually has a great diagram of this one: WDH: Change the width of your passband. This is similar to the NAR / narrow setting, but can also be used to make it wider - up to 3000 Hz.

16 lis 2020 · I was just sitting here looking at the Yaesu ft-891, thinking to myself about “what if”. You know, if Yaesu would make a 20 watt version of this radio, with an internal audio interface, single USB wire cat and audio, plus an RX current draw less that 400ma, I would walk through broken glass and fire to buy one!
The Yaesu FT-891 is a great little rig providing a full 100W on all bands from 160m-6m. I bought it for portable operation, and its small size and weight are ideal for me. It performs as well as my new ICOM IC-7200, and better than the venerable IC-735 and Yaesu FT-747 radios that I own (mainly because of the available DSP noise reduction).
