25 sty 2015 · I’ve wanted a more substantial radio, with more power, and a better speaker and mic system. I got it with the Yaesu FT-2900R. Yep, there are a few issues with the radio, but the issues that impacted me were either fixable or are very tolerable.
30 lis 2015 · I had a FT-2900 for 3 years. Barely used it (paid $120 for it new in a HRO Black Friday sale). I pretty much just left it at 30W. It does get hot running at 75W (I kept mine on the dash and would simply turn the defroster on to move air across the heat sink).
6 lis 2011 · I am a yaesu fan. The ft2900 is big and heavy. I used to have one but didn't ever have a time where the extra 20watts on the 2900 out performed the 1900. 99% of signal coverage is all about antenna set up.

Crisp and clean audio that you can actually hear over t sound of my diesel with the windows open, plenty of memory storage, excellent power and a host of great features make this a great "first 2m rig" for any ham. Performance. Build quality.
