22 mar 2001 · I've seen two different versions of the mod. One is unsoldering one jumper and resoldering another, and then the other is just unsoldering one. I just picked up a FT-2900R the other day, and would like to do the mars mod, but don't want to lose the auto repeater shift.

Yaesu ft-2900r frequency modification mars mod. So I was browsing the internet and learned of a really simple modification to the yeasu ft2900r mobile 2m transceiver. The radio comes stock with the abilty to receive from 136-174 MHz but will only transmit on the 2m ham band.
25 cze 2015 · I can program the radio manually, but it would be nice to use CHIRP, despite the (currently) partial support for the FT-2900. If anyone has any experience or suggestions on this, I'd appreciate this. If this is a result of the mod, it would be good to take this into account before doing it.
