30 gru 2001 · It may just be the pressure switch (the little box on the pump with the electrical wire going into it), that turns the pump on and off, hanging up and causing the problem. The next time that the pump hangs up, tap on the box with a screwdriver handle to see if it makes the pump come on.
18 kwi 2009 · After some initial problems with an air lock in the pump, I got it running and it worked great until yesterday. Now, when the heat cycle kicks in, I hear a click and then the motor hums but doesn't turn. Being new to spas, I did some research online and learned the start capacitor might be bad.
I think my motor is going bad. It started yesterday when I noticed it was't on. I went over and noticed it had power but nothing was moving. I turned it off and then back on and it hums/throbs but wouldn't start. I removed the end cap that is over the spinning drive and spun it by hand a few times. It moved freely.
19 lip 2010 · Most likely is a bad motor start capacitor. I will call a swimming pool company or if you're handy you can try to do it yourself with a good youtube video.
