You are vulnerable to malicious attacks since Microsoft isn't supporting XP anymore. The source code leak means that people have probably found new exploits and they will use them. Exploits like this can't be mended with anti malware software, or any software as far as I know.

After all, virtually every technology pundit on earth has described Windows Vista as operating system non grata, an upgrade to be avoided at all costs.
13 sie 2010 · It’s Usually Not SP3’s Fault – Really. By and large SP3 has been one of the most successful large scale service packs from Microsoft. I’ve probably heard fewer problem reports about it than any previous Windows XP service pack. In short: it worked just fine for the vast majority of computers.
27 lis 2007 · I’ve got several questions with respect to Windows XP SP3. Do you think SP3 will install IE7? Have the IE7 bugs been worked out? Do you think people will be able to opt-out of downloading IE7 if it’s part of SP3 or at least uninstall it after download and return to IE6?
25 cze 2009 · I"m trying to decide whether to deploy the SP3 patch for Windows XP (Pro). What are the benefits? So far all I've found is some security stuff (preventing a new pc from accessing your network unless it meets certain security criteria, etc.)
SP2 felt much more responsive in my P4 2.8GHz 512MB PC. SP3 felt sluggish in comparison. Because of that, I used SP2 in my offline PC, and used SP3 in my online laptop. Even though it was more sluggish, I need all the security I could muster because I didn't trust my school internet.
