Get an xbox battery pack charger or some rechargeable batteries and a separate charger. The "play & charge" cables are ok as a supplement, but not as your primary charging source, they overcharge when left plugged in and reduce the life of your batteries.
I have an old cellphone charger (4.5 volts, low current) that I've stripped the connector off and touch the leads to the ends of the battery for a few seconds (+ to +, - to -, don't let it heat up). That's enough to juice the battery up to the point that the recharger senses it and starts charging.

Battery packs are great, though make sure you don't over charge them. This happened to my charger one night. I was there playing and noticed a weird smell, couple of minuted later saw a bit of smoke coming from it and noticed that the wire had melted.

20 lip 2012 · I have a play & charge kit with a 4800 mAh battery. I didn't measure how long exactly it lasts, but I can say that it lasts for quite long. I play up to 10 hours a week, and I charge it in monthly periods. It's been a year since I bought it, and I'm still satisfied.
