28 sty 2001 · This bike was a real challenge to restore. The only reproduction items on the bike are the handlebar grips (not 100% but close) the headlight top, and the tires. Vintage 1950s Western Flyer X-53. 26" boys bicycle frame with original headbadge and seatpost clamp and bearing races in the pedal crank housing and in the steering headtube.Nice and straight with non-original paint and decal. Paint is scratched and chrome finish on outside of the races is pitted.

25 sty 2019 · 1957 Western Flyer X-53 This bike has been partially repainted but is all original parts. I will probably do some more work on paint job as I am not happy with it. This is how I purchased the bike but the space age look is great and it rides nice.

The X53 featured a highly stylized chainguard, tank, and rack with a modified top on a Delta Rocket Ray headlight.
