There are moments in X-Men 97, the three part season end eps that I teared up for a fake character in a cartoon. If you rewatch the classic episodes even with its janky hand rendered scenes - THAT has more heart than Invincible and all of its “Inside baseball” commentary on Supes.
I'm thinking that season two will be a full telling of age of apocalypse. They can introduce Nate Gray and have the Magneto/ Rogue relationship and have them fix it back to normal and that way they can have her relationship with Gambit in the other timeline.
