27 lut 2024 · Glasgow 2024 – A Worldcon for our Futures, announced on February 27, 2024 that the only bid filed to host the 2026 Worldcon is Los Angeles in 2026. Therefore, this is the only bid that will be on the ballot for the site selection election. Per WSFS rules, other bids can file until the close of voting and can be selected as write-in bids.
Here is a list of groups currently bidding (seriously) to hold a Worldcon. For more information about Worldcon bids and how the process works, see here. None of the sites listed here have been selected to hold a Worldcon. Bids do not need any sort of “pre-approval” to announce a bid.

Filed Bids for the 2024 Worldcon and 2023 NASFiC Chicon 8 has accepted complete filings from the following bids for future conventions. On Saturday August 6th the Winnipeg 2023 NASFiC bid and the Glasgow 2024 Worldcon Bid gave brief bid presentations and answered questions from an online audience.
