Sam Wo and Pork Chop House aka New Lung Ting. They’re hole in the wall restaurants but they’re Chinatown staples. Capital restaurant is on Clay St. around the corner from Mister Jiu’s. They’re known for their salt and pepper chicken wings. VIP on Broadway is more of a Hong Kong style cafe but they’re baked fried rice is my fav.
Visit Wo Hop in Chinatown to get notoriously Americanized (but still delicious) "Chinese" food. Snap a photo while you're at it and add it to the basement photo wall. The egg foo young--a gravied dome of eggs chock full of meat and veggies--is a standout dish, as is the chow fun.
