The winter war doesn't exist. The Shinigami expected Aizen to attack in winter because that's how long it would've taken for the Hogyoku to fully awaken by itself, but Aizen awakened it early and attacked before winter. So to call the Arrancar arc the 'winter war' makes no sense.
