5 mar 2012 · You can get a complete brand new basket press (#25) for about 2X that. By the time you purchase the supplies to make a basket might be about the same price. Of course you could use the hydraulic press for other stuff I guess!
22 lip 2020 · Update on the 20 ton press: I added the nylon bolts to prevent lateral movement when the ram descends. I also added a winch to raise and lower the table. I had to do some figuring as to how to run the cables and connect them to the winch.
24 mar 2014 · Building my Harbor Freight Cider press and garbage disposal scratter was my big summer weekends project. It all came together yesterday. I made a short video if anyone is interested. Biggest thing I learned is that the capacity of the press is much larger than I anticipated.
I suspect the HF arbor press was being used to sell out-of-spec presses manufactured for some other brand. If you're looking for a cheap one-ton arbor press, the Klutch at Northern Tool is going to be better (albeit higher cost).
