18 lip 2021 · I can't type anything, so I'm stuck on the login page. But the touchpad, brightness control key (I'm using MacBook air, the brightness control key is F1 and F2), and the volume control (F10, F11, F12) are still working. But others key isn't working as well.
8 lut 2015 · My keyboard lacks any "multimedia" keys but I really want to have keyboard shortcuts for the global Volume Up, Volume Down, and Mute actions. What's the easiest way to program custom keyboard shortcuts to trigger these missing keys virtually?
After a lot of trial and error with different programs I came across SharpKeys. With SharpKeys you can basically map any key to another key by adding the edit to its list. So you select "F12" for instance and add the "volume up" function to it. Save changes, restart your PC and voila: it works.
26 sie 2020 · All the Fn keys work fine, except for the F1-F3 volume keys, whether they are in hotkey mode or not. I tried going into the BIOS, it was set to Media Keys so I tried disabling and re-enabling it, but those keys still do not work after startup.
4 dni temu · If the volume keys on your keyboard aren't working, you can adjust the volume directly from the macOS menu bar. Alternatively, create custom shortcuts or gestures to control the volume. Another option is to access Sound in System Settings to adjust the volume slider manually.
25 kwi 2020 · I usually use the volume function keys and the brightness level function keys, (F3 F4 F6 F7) but none of them are working. I had this problem before, and when I asked for help I found out its because of the update.
