It’s a Monterey bug, hopefully fixed soon. You might atlas see 100% single core CPU usage from the same process. Window server is the desktop UI process, honestly no idea why or how this bug manifests but it seems to impact all Macs on Monterey.

23 kwi 2022 · Fortunately, high CPU usage is usually easy to fix. Press “Ctrl-Shift-Esc” to open the Task Manager. Click the “Processes” tab to view running processes. Click the “Memory” tab to organize by memory usage. You can close processes that use too much memory or simply make note of them to keep an eye on those programs.
