27 cze 2011 · I would suggest cleaning out the bolt first, and see if that helps. If you're not sure how to tear it down, just get the bolt out of the gun. Then (outside!) spray it down with some carb or brake cleaner.
20 sty 2014 · Came across this old thread when looking up information on my Winchester Model 250 - .22 lever action rifle. Bought it in 1967 as a junior at Bucknell University in a LGS on Main St in Lewisburg. Cost about $65-70 new.
3 kwi 2024 · Model 250 Winchester firing problem. I have an older Winchester model 250, 22 caliber. I have completely taken it apart, cleaned it, inspected all parts, oiled it, and reassembled. Still having the same problem. Lever action works perfectly very smooth.
28 lut 2008 · Take down is very easy on these. Remove the magazine tube and push out the horizontal pin in the side of the receiver, pull down the lever and the whole trigger group will come right out in your hand as a complete subassembly. Now you can get in there to clean and lube everything properly.
The Winchester Model 250 was actually introduced in the early 1963 catalog along with the companion models 270 and 290 so it is technically a pre-64 rifle.

The rifle was part of a series of guns that included the 250 (as shown above), the 270 which used a pump/slide action and the 290 which was a semi-automatic action, see all three below:
