In order to breed dragons, players must have an available Breeding Cave; either the starting breeding cave/Enchanted Breeding Cave, the Co-operative Breeding Cave (unlocked at level 10), the Epic Breeding Island/Epic Breeding Sanctuary (125), or the Rift Breeding Cave (unlocked at level 28).
In DragonVale, breeding works by combining the elements of two dragons (the breeding pair or breeding combination) which forms the "breeding pool" of elements. Each dragon has base elements seen in the game as well as latent breeding elements which are not displayed in game.
The tables below breakdown the breeding odds for each dragon. There are two types of breeding odds, normal breeding using the breeding hint, and cloning. Cloning is when you target a specific dragon and use one or two copies of the target as a parent.

Information. Check what dragon results are possible for a specific breeding combination in DragonVale with the DragonVale Breeding Simulator. Just select two dragons and hit the "Simulate" button. It then uses the most updated data from The DragonVale Compendium to give a qualified guess.
