Does anyone see any issues with this before I pull trig? I believe both the router and yagi utilize a 802.11ac configuration. The yagi should connect directly into the router.
I live in a fairly remote area with a lot of inconvenient conditions. Fiber does not reach us, and LTE barely seems to, either. I get -110 dbm to -120, and the internet seems to agree that -120 shouldn't even function, but it does. Painfully. How well would an outdoor YAGI antenna help me?

5 wrz 2006 · The goal is to provide WiFi to my Thinkpad (equipped with hi-perf antennas also) while I'm at a park bench some 2200' from my house. The AP is a WRT54g (v4 with DD-WRT) mounted just above the rotor. I have a 4' R-TNC to N pigtail to go from the router to the yagi antenna.
I was expecting that the yagi would help isolate signal from my AP at the least, not perform worse than my omni. If you've explored alternative antennas, tell me with what you learned. I'm not sure how to debug my setup.
