2 maj 2018 · Before flying on Iberia, I thought Spirit was the worst airline I ever used. Iberia now takes first place. Iberia flies from Spain and to and from many Latin America countries. My wife and I booked a flight from Barcelona, Spain to Miami, which had a stopover in Madrid.
According to Skift, Iberia’s on time performance in 2018 was 90.05%. Delays averaged 33.7 minutes. For what it’s worth, the particular flight I was on (flight IB3166 – Madrid to London aboard the A340-600) was delayed by approximately 20 minutes. Iberia has over 1000+ flights every day to 135 destinations in 47 countries.
Just flew with Iberia from Madrid to the US. My biggest issue with them was that their website and online system for US re-entry is… rough to say the least. For example, I filled out their version of the US COVID attestation form, and the pdf that was generated from the form missed one of my answers.
9 sty 2024 · Iberia advertised a connection from Madrid to Bilbao with a short layover after my the flight from Miami to Madrid. When I purchased the ticket on their website, the flight was not what I purchased but a later flight with a much longer layover, 6 hours.
Iberia Airlines may offer cheap tickets with direct flights, but it may not be worth it as the experience with them can be abysmal. You may end up paying more as they bump you off your flight and ask you to pay more for changing your flight, and your flight may be rerouted and you end up with an 8 hour delay.
