I love chemistry because it’s so fascinating. The individual elements can make these complex molecules. I think it’s even more amazing you can can add two colorless liquids to each other and suddenly there’s color.
I love that chemistry requires a combination of math and intuition. Physical chemistry satisfies my need for understanding the fundamentals and seeing the math play out on the page, inorganic chemistry is a giant test of chemical intuition and our ability to use it to our advantage, and organic chemistry is essentially an art form.
So to answer your question why I love chemistry. I think it's an amazing tool that can be used to read the world almost like a book. Like others mentioned it also turns your reality into a puzzle that can be toyed with.
