6 lis 2020 · The Engineers created the Xenomorphs hundreds of thousands of years ago. David made his version of the Xenomorphs in Alien Covenant independently, hundreds of years in the future. The same way Joseph Swan and Thomas Edison both independently created the incandescent light bulb.

At no point in the film did David say anything about the eggs or facehuggers being an original creation of his. In Alien, there's an Engineer ship full of the eggs.
