In order to get on the ballot in Georgia, a candidate for president of the United States must meet a variety of state-specific filing requirements and deadlines. These regulations, known as ballot access laws, determine whether a candidate or party will appear on an election ballot.
You can register any time. You must be registered at least 30 days before an election to vote in that election. Look at the key dates to ensure you’re registering before the deadline for the election you want to participate in.

Unless you registered by Feb. 12, you will not be able to vote in the March 12 presidential preference primary or the April 9 runoff races (if applicable).
