This paper evaluates the dispatchable capacity of the BS backup batteries in distribution networks and illustrates how it can be utilized in power systems. The BS reliability model is first established considering potential distribution network interruptions and the effects of backup batteries.
1 cze 2018 · In this paper, we closely examine the base station features and backup battery features from a 1.5-year dataset of a major cellular service provider, including 4,206 base stations distributed across 8,400 square kilometers and more than 1.5 billion records on base stations and battery statuses.
1 kwi 2023 · With the mass construction of 5G base stations, the backup batteries of base stations remain idle for most of the time. It is necessary to explore these massive 5G base station energy storage...
22 wrz 2023 · This work investigates the energy cost-saving potential by transforming the backup batteries of base stations to a distributed battery energy storage system (BESS), and proposes a deep reinforcement learning (DRL) based approach to make BESS scheduling decisions in real-time.
1 lut 2022 · The backup battery of a 5G base station must ensure continuous power supply to it, in the case of a power failure. As the number of 5G base stations, and their power consumption increase significantly compared with that of 4G base stations, the demand for backup batteries increases simultaneously.
Abstract—Cellular base stations (BSs) are equipped with backup batteries to obtain the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and maintain the power supply reliability.
18 lut 2022 · We consider a distributed backup power allocation scenario, where multiple small BSs are deployed in one macro cell and the BSs within the same macro cell are considered together for backup power allocation. In our simulations, 100 small BSs are deployed within one macro cell (a 1 × 1 km square).
