9 kwi 2023 · Requirements: 1) You will need a laptop that has an Ethernet adapter capable of WOL (again, explanation to follow). 2) Either a Travel Router that has an Ethernet to WiFi bridge option or a dedicated Ethernet to WiFi bridge device. Very inexpensive models are available. 3) Optional: A WiFi adapter either built into the laptop or connected via USB.

Wireless AC bridges can definitely be better than powerline (400mbps is achievable on 2x2 AC with good hardware and minimal interference), but your "hardwired" devices will be competing for airtime with wireless-only devices which might result in a bad experience. Ubiquiti's newer AP's actually have a bridge mode built in to them.
