The purpose of this lesson is to give the individual a clear understanding of what the will of God is, as revealed in the Bible, and to motivate him/her to begin living out that will (plan) on a daily basis. The greatest joy in a Christian's life is to know that he is pleasing God by doing His will.

The will of God is not simply a passive plan, the blueprint for his creation. Rather, very often the Old Testament describes God as accomplishing his will. In this we glimpse the sovereign control he exerts over nations and individuals as well as the imperturbable certainty that characterizes his will.
