In my state we don’t have an actual award letter. We use the approval paperwork and write an additional document on letterhead if needed. Approval paperwork is sent upon initial approval and every year when the coverage renews. It’s also accessible through the online portal.

There are three ways to apply for Medicaid benefits or renew your benefits. Your Medicaid benefits will need to be renewed annually and you will be notified when it is time to renew.
