16 lip 2020 · The story in Matthew 26:6-13 describes a woman who is probably quite wealthy, anointing Jesus’ head with a large quantity of expensive perfume. The apostles complain at the expense, but Jesus praises what the woman did as preparation for his burial.

At the moment of salvation, believers are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and joined to Christ, the Anointed One.
In addition, there are numerous examples of anointing where the Holy Spirit is not given as an indwelling essence, such as God calling Cyrus the Great "His anointed" ( Isaiah 45:1 ), or Jesus instructing people to anoint their head while fasting ( Matthew 6:17 ).
