29 sty 2018 · Today I made a clean installation of Windows 10 from latest installation media. I continuously get UI freezes for minutes. Task Manager shows me a process "appmodel" which uses most time more than 30 percent of CPU. Why it is so and how to fix it?
Today I found two processes called appmodel. The properties section say it is a executable called svchost.exe located in Windows\System32. What is this process?, can I end it? That's a legitimate Windows system process, and you should leave it alone.
I was looking at the Task Manager and I noticed two processes that together take about 50% of the CPU at some points, these are "Antimalware Service Executable" and "appmodel". I kinda fixed the first one by adding the Windows Defender folder to the white list on the Windows Defender program, but I can't seem to even find info about the other one.
