21 cze 2024 · Here are the lap times for the vintage and modern races. The fastest lap of the event was probably the winner of our race. It’s a 427 GT-40 replica. The second place car is a real GT500 with heritage race history…Gulf livery. The third car is one of our HVR members. It’s a real ‘65 K-Code fastback…also Gulf livery.

Mid America will host several outstanding Mustangs, Shelbys and all sorts of Fords. We continue to have participants bringing these vehicles from dozens of states, different years and performance levels.
HISTORY OF MID AMERICA. Currently, most performance cars have clubs formed around them and club regional meets are more and more common. Thirty Nine (39) years ago in the “dark ages” after the oil crisis, Shelby’s were just aging cars from an earlier era and relics to be reviled rather than honored.
On Saturday, June 6th, 2020, David L. Riley and his wife Cheryl of Kokomo, Indiana, made their way to Mid America Flight Museum to rediscover what was for him, a long lost love. It had been almost 50 years since Riley had flown his last flight on one of his favorite helicopters from his time in Vietnam.
