I get 4K 120hz passtrough together with Dolby Atmos. But HDR does not seem to work when using 120hz. As soon as I switch to 60hz, HDR starts working again.

  5. 7 cze 2018 · so your best bet is to plug all your devices into the tv to ensure you get all the hdr formats like DV and hdr10+, and let ARC handle the sound to the soundbar. The soundbar will still recognise, play and display Atmos over ARC, even though it is lossy.

  6. They explicitly state which soundbars support the various forms of 4K passthrough. Look for the LG SP8YA (it’s a model from their 2021 lineup, so not old stuff), I got it for 399€. Rtings says it’s more or less on par with the much more expensive Samsung Q800A.
