This part of the aircrack-ng suite determines the WEP key using two fundamental methods. The first method is via the PTW approach (Pyshkin, Tews, Weinmann).

Definitely not impossible. More difficult than WEP for sure. Some passwords will be virtually impossible to crack. E.g. Many default WAP passwords issued by the ISP where I am from contain character sets of numbers and lowercase letters are 10 digits long and completely random.
19 sie 2019 · The number of required IVs depends on the WEP key length, and it also depends on your luck. Usually, 40-bit WEP (64 bit key) can be cracked with 300,000 IVs, and 104-bit WEP (128 bit key) can be cracked with 1,500,000 IVs; if you're out of luck you may need two million IVs, or more.
The pcap with the key has already been "intercepted" so the task is simply to run aircrack-ng. However if you run : aircrack-ng wep.pcap. Make sure you are in the correct directory for the pcap file.
