I need to replace my water heater in the next year or so. It’s a 15 year old State Select gas 40 gal and the installation looks simple. Curious if folks here in the USA have had success with brands like Rheem from Home Depot or is it better to buy elsewhere. If so, what brand would you recommend?

The horizontal vent going outside had an outer shield that looks about 6” or so with an internal pipe that’s the correct 3” so I purchased some flexible duct for water heaters and screwed one side outside and the other side to the vent hood.
