Water-table elevation maps of the aquifer underly-ing the Albuquerque metropolitan area east of the Rio Grande for 2008 and 2016 and a map of the change in elevations in this 8-year period provide an improved understanding of the water-table elevations and the changes that are occurring.
15 cze 2023 · The water-supply requirements of the Albuquerque metropolitan area of central New Mexico have historically been met almost exclusively by groundwater withdrawal from the Santa Fe Group aquifer system.
The water-table maps show current aquifer conditions and changes in water levels from previous years. From these maps, groundwater flow directions can be determined and changes in groundwater storage in the aquifer can be calculated.
