This application generates a random medieval city layout of a requested size. The generation method is rather arbitrary, the goal is to produce a nice looking map, not an accurate model of a city. The first version of this generator was created for the monthly challenge #17 of the proceduralgeneration subreddit .
You can view a generated city in 3D by exporting its map as JSON and opening it in City Viewer. Main features: Direct control over what features (city walls, river etc.) are required to be present in a city.

City Viewer is released! City Viewer is a separate application which can build and display a 3D model of a city generated in MFCG. In contrast with its spiritual predecessor Toy Town, it doesn't do procedural generation - the cities you see before importing your custom ones, are generated in MFCG as well, they just come bundled with the viewer.
12 sie 2020 · I can download the 3D file and break up the model to rearrange the buildings like setting up for a college still life drawing. You know the sort of thing - 3 hours to draw a carrot, an onion and a chopping board in amazing photographic detail :) (That's what I had to do for my O'level 39 years ago).
