About a year and a half ago I researched welders. HF Welders weren’t considered very good. After much pondering I bought a Lincoln Multi, Mig, Tig and Stick for about $700. Plus pedal, whip and gas it was about$1000. It’s a 110v that puts out 140 amps in Tig. Stick is good up to 3/8. I have not tried Mig. I am very happy with it.

1 sie 2007 · Get a set of NoMar tools to use with your HF changer. Accept no substitutes. Wikco makes a decent mount/demount bar, but they won't sell it without a Wikco changer serial number because they are on to the game.
29 wrz 2017 · There is a thread with HF tire changer mods. Lacking a welder, welding skills and the center bar being too big for the ST wheels. I cut it about 2" up from the threads. Then to a local farm store or steel supplier and acquire a piece of 3/4" steel round rod 2' long.
Adds a duck bill (like what’s used in shops) to the manual changer. Keeps from scratching the rim of the wheel. And makes it easier. There’s lots on eBay for ~$100. If you have a welder and materials you can build the mod for cheaper.
