22 paź 2020 · When trying to boot Ubuntu on in VirtualBox I had a black screen until I went into Settings > System and unchecked enable EFI. Ubuntu booted up successfully after I did that.
28 sty 2022 · When I start Ubuntu it will boot and begin loading then eventually a black screen with the Ubuntu logo on the bottom. It will usually stay indefinitely on this unless I hard reset it and boot the VM again.

27 lip 2022 · So far, I tried: Changing the display settings from VMSVGA to VboxVGA or VboxSVGA. I don't get this error in the prompt anymore, but I get an alert "invalid setting detected". It also leads to a black screen after the boot-up.

The Ubuntu VM doesn't just have a black screen, it seems to be making no attempt to boot at all. The VM however is running just fine, waiting for Ubuntu to spring to life. I think you should treat this as an Ubuntu corrupted boot sectors problem and run the appropriate boot repair tools.
27 sty 2021 · You have VirtualBox 6.1.16 and you have an Ubuntu guest configured for VBoxVGA and you have (ancient) 6.0.0 GAs. After upgrading to 6.1.18 you should configure Ubuntu for VMSVGA and install the 6.1.18 GAs.
