When a code violation is reported, we open a complaint and work toward resolving the violation through a process of education, inspection, and notices. Continued violations are followed by progressive enforcement: Code Enforcement receives a complaint. Department conducts an inspection.

All code enforcement inspectors are F.A.C.E. (Florida Association of Code Enforcement) certified. Level I = Fundamentals of Code Enforcement. Must successfully pass the following: Legal Aspects, Communication Skills, Report Writing, Property Owner, Ethics, and Principles and Practice.
